Aurora was to be the next Queen of Magredon, by birth rite. Happy at the thought of being the next queen, she had already started making plans on how to better the kingdom. When all of a sudden war breaks loose within their kingdom's grounds and her father, the King of Magredon is kidnapped by the prince of Lornemon. She had no idea that the kingdom of Lornemon were overthrowing smaller kingdoms and uniting them, with theirs. And the kingdom of Magredon was a rather large kingdom that was now in their way of conquering the rest of the country side. Until they kidnapped her father. More than half of her father's army were slaughter or tooken prisoners, and those that did survive screamed and cried about the appearance of dragons and magic. She knew she had to save her father with more than just an army of weapons. She was going to need the help of wizards and assasins.
Ontop of the highest treetop, Aniza sat, as she could see smoke from a faraway distance. "This does not look good." She shook her head. She was very sure that the smoke she could see was that of a village at least a full day away. She skipped down the tree. Almost landing on top of her friend Marc.
"Aniza!" He yelped as he jumped out of the way.
"You knew I was coming." She smiled at him. Then shook his shaggy hair. "When are you cutting that thing off your head."
"Never. The girls in our village like it." He stood proud of his shaggy hair. She rolled her eyes. "And besides, when are you going to give me an answer to what I asked of you?" He said hoping she wouldn't shoot him down as well.
"We're good friends, that's all. " She smirked and looked back at him. "Race you home." She got a headstart.
"Hey that's not fair!" He cried after her. "You cheated!"
"Fair is fair! Last one home has to feed Ryko." She yelled back at him.
"Crap! Not Ryko!" He moaned. He always lost at her games. And always ended up feeding her pet tiger, she named Ryko.
"Late as usual." She smiled while leaning up against the sacred tree at the center of their village. She kicked the can at him and he caught it in mid-air. "Ryko's waiting." And she headed for the elders home.
Knocking on their door, she awaited to hear that raspy voice of theirs to tell her to join them. Instead the door opened, as if they were expecting her. Of no surprise to her.
"Are the rumors true?" One raspy voiced elder asked.
"It looks like it." She turned her head from whence the voice had come from. "And it's only a day's travel from here. It seems, that whatever it is that is attacking those villages is also headed our way."
"That doth not sound well." Another raspy voiced elder said.
"We must mobilize our people to our ancestors home." She told them.
"We must wait to see what Cypress has to say." Another elder said.
"We don't have time." She demanded.
"Yes, we'll wait. You may leave now." They dismissed her. Irritated for them not heeding her word she stormed her way past her friend and Ryko. Towards the river behind their village.

On the road towards the kingdom of Magredon was Alexio. Alexio road in barbarian clothing for he had lived amoung the barbarian tribes. Alexio road down the road where Aniza and her brother were. Alexio had his men with him and he was looking like a young heroic 22 year old. Alexio whistled for Aniza who the men had said was beautiful.
"Aniza! Where are you, your highness?"
Alexio yelled stopping his horse. Alexio had a barbarian mother but the King of Magredon. Alexio had lived in the presense of Aniza and her family. Alexio was in skins and armor with his sword on the side of his horse. Alexio got down from his horse and walked into the woods with one of his swords by his side. Alexio came upon the barbarian princess and prince. Alexio bowed his head, "Highnesses, I am going north to trade and bring home to a kingdom under threat. I will bring you what you all want. May I have leave?" Alexio had been living with his mother for a year after braking up with a witch.
While in the palace Aurora was talking to the women about the rumor of a prince who might be the king of Magredon. Aurora was not pleased with having a half brother. He would be a threat to her but she would have to meet him. Aurora need the assissan to find out about her lost brother and fight him to see if he was strong.

Marc and Ryko dashed after her. She sat at the river's edge, throwing rocks at the rushing water.
"They didn't hear you out?" Marc asked. She ignored him, and kept throwing the rocks. "They want Cypress." She stopped throwing the rocks and turned to look at him.
"Why in the hells did they choose me to be their princess if they were'nt planning on listening to me." She argued senselessly.
"But at least they...." She put a hand over his mouth. Her eyes wandered into the forest. "what is it?" He muffled a whisper thru her hand. She lifted her finger to her mouth, then smirked. Marc hated that smirk, it meant that Cypress was lurking nearby. She stood there with him for a few seconds then dashed into the forest. Ryko instinctively followed after. Aniza had been blessed with the sense of sound. She was very keen to her surroundings no matter how much noise there was around them. Marc sighed and strolled after her.
She knew it was him, she jumped up a tree and traveled towards him a top of the trees jumping about like a show monkey. Cypress could feel her presence wild as ever. He smirked and kept trotting along on his horse. His horse seemed to feel her presence as well.
"Ahhh...don't worry Hanabi." He patted his horse. "It's only Aniza." He whispered in it's ear. She reached him in no time. She made a jump for him landing right on the back of his horse. "Aniza, good to see you joining us."
"What do you mean it's only me?" She complained as she hugged him. He stopped his horse, and they both got down.
"You know I love you." He smiled and kissed her forehead. She swatted him away.
"Yeah, yeah, we know you're mushy." She told him. He laughed. Marc arrived shortly there after. "The elders are waiting to see what you advise, to them. I told them that we needed to leave, but...." Suddenly she heard what sounded her name.
"Aniza! Where are you, your highness?"
Cypress saw Aniza's face shoot a very concerned look on her face. He looked in the direction of where she was looking. Soon a male, or seemed to be, approached them.
"Alexio?" Cypress squinted, not sure if he was right. Since it had been a while since they had last seen him. And like the male he is, he pushed his sister behind him. She looked up at him and rolled her eyes. He knew better than to think that she couldn't defend herself. Ryko began to growl softly at the man.
"Highnesses, I am going north to trade and bring home to a kingdom under threat. I will bring you what you all want. May I have leave?" he said as he approached them.
"Alexio. It is you." He said with a grand smile and shook his hand. "It's been a while. Are you alone?"
"Cypress, brother, he asked if he could leave. Not stay and chat." She looked him up and down. He had changed since the last time they saw him. Something about him was different and she didn't like it.
"Ah...rubbish. Come. We'll have the trade and you can be on your way." Cypress told him. Aniza was still skeptical about him.

Alexio bowed.
"Good to see you Cypress. I am taking good that I got from a villiage in the south. I am alone, my men are back at the road. Cypress give this to your sister for me."
Alexio gave Cypress a book that in leather carrying case.
"I hope her highness will love it. I have always been a friend to your family and will bring news of the war. I fear we will all have to choose our paths."
Alexio bowed his head and the men went to finish the trading. Alexio put out his goods for Cypress which included a very nice dagger which had been handed to him. Alexio knew what Cypress liked.
"You have grown up and you look like your beloved mother. My mother is well but worried about me. You sister has grown into a lovely woman. I could never be prouder of her."
Alexio leaned in.
"Something is coming for me. I don't know what but I have seen it in my dreams. The Royal Bird, my mother is not telling me something. It bothers me."
Alexio gave the prince what he wanted to buy and bowed his head then walked back up the path. Alexio nods to the queen as he passes. Alexio rides off with his men.

"Interested in Aniza, I see." He held the book "I'll make sure she gets it." Alexio showed him a dagger, the dagger pleased Cypress. But he wanted to know more about the woman Alexio had been with. Tho with the comotion of the trade it didn't seem prudent of him to ask, when so many ears where listening in to their conversations.
"Hahaha!" He laughed. "My sister is more of a mule. She doesn't obey and she would certainly not make for a good wife." He looked over at her, she was checking out some viking swords that were in the trade. "A stubborn mule." He chuckled, then Alexio leaned into him.
"Something is coming for me. I don't know what but I have seen it in my dreams. The Royal Bird, my mother is not telling me something. It bothers me."
"That is not a good sign. None at all. Well I wish you the best. And please keep us informed as to what you find. Our people will be heading for the Ancestral Mountains soon, join us after you've finished your journey." He patted him on the back. Then watched him set off, past his mother. She only nodded to him as they rolled out of the forest.
Aniza held on to her new light-weight swords. Cypress handed her the book as she approached him.
"It looks like he's tooken an interest in you." Cypress said.
"Bah! All the men in the world do. I've got breasts and a hole to stick their thing in." She stated.
"Aniza." Cypress said sternly. He didn't like it when she talked like that.
"What? It's the truth." She stuck her tongue out at him.
"Women shouldn't talk like that." He told her.
"And who said I'm a woman. I'm a warrior, remember." She laughed her brother turned and walked back to the people whom were now gathering at the elder's door. She watched Alexio until he was out of sight.
"You like him. Don't you." Marc sounded a little peeved that he might have competition, for Aniza's attention.
"Shut-up." She told him, irritated that Marc accused her of something she wasn't too sure of. She too headed towards the elders door.

Alexio's nodded and laughed, "So am I. I like my women tough and good survivors." Alexio liked Aniza because of her stubbornness. Alexio was there warrior and cousin because of his mother. Alexio was up for women getting a fear shake with being a warrior. Alexio walked back to his horse and got on it. "Lets go men. We have a all day ride to town." Alexio looked in the direction of the princess and prince. Alexio put the horse into motion and rode away from where she was with her brother and suitor.
Aurora walked through her palace when she got news of a handsome barbarian selling goods in town. She sent her assissin to go met him and get friendly with him. Aurora would have the throne. She stood by her window watching the handsome creature sell his good and could not help see her father in the boy. He was so sure of himself and wore the crest of royality on his chest armor. She was all of a sudden afriad for the assissin she had hired. If he was full blood warrior she would have a hard time with a grown man. The man look intimidating and willing to fight for his life if need arose.
Alexio was selling his goods that day when a young woman approached him. She was dressed in lovely clothing but he had no eyes for her yet. She would be his pleasure tonight if she was willing. Alexio had always been that kind of man but his twenty first was already over and a powerful curse was starting to take control of his looks. Alexio did not feel tired much anymore, he fought like a demon. Alexio only hope was the barbarian princess and her magic to keep him in line. Alexio was starting to crave blood like the witch said he would. Alexio peeked at the young woman again with his strong sense of smell he could smell her blood. Alexio was happy to know she was pretty.

"And we need to move our people, now." Cypress, said to the elders, as Aniza was stepping.
"Yes, exactly what I pleaded." She interrupted peeved that her brother was repeating everything she had told them.
"Then we shall go." Said one of the elders, surrendering to Cypress' pleas. Aniza shook her head again.
"These old boogey's will be the end of us." She muttered to her brother as she stepped out into the already forming crowd at the door.
"People of Maritime, we must evacuate our village and head to the Ancestrial Mountains." She bluntly explained. Cypress shook his head. People began to murmur. "pack only the crucial essentials. Nothing more." She said. "go."
"What about our herds?" A man in ther crowd asked.
"Only the essentials. The herds will...." Cypress stopped her from going any further.
"Maritime. The herds may come with us, if you are willing to tend to them yourselves, and if your herd should fall behind then be it. We cannot protect the herd. The fruits..." He patted a nearby child. "Are what are most important." He said. The people nodded in agreement. They began to scatter and quickly gather their belongings.
